Games are drugs. I've known it before but... couldn't understand. ( http://game-era.com/feature/id/2 ) This is a sad truth...

[ mood | amused ]

I'm such a bad community creator.

This is the only one I've ever made, and it features almost nothing. *laughs*

I'm amazed everyone hasn't left it yet! o.0 Perhaps I'll write something here sometime soon. Probably not, knowing me. =P Feel free to post stuff here, if you have any tips and things worth sharing. Blah, this was such a bad idea in the first place. =P

.Hack Games [25 Aug 2003|06:46pm]

These games are EVIL!

....Their too short. *whines*

I'm waiting until the other two games are released so I can go on a Hack marathon. *stares at Infection and Mutation as they collect dust*

Their good games, but their too friggin' short! It bothers me. >_>

Ocarina of Tyme [21 Aug 2003|09:33am]

*coughs* That was such a bad pun.

I haven't posted here in aaaages. Bad me for letting my community die. Well I'm a meanie so I'm going to remind you of its existance. =P

In OoT, you can do all kinds of funny things with the Ocarina. While playing, holding the analogue stick in different directions makes the notes sound funny, and holding R or Z makes them higher or lower. If you feel like randomly playing odd music like I do, this is....useful. Otherwise, it doesn't help. =P

Also, if you take old Link into the windmill and make him stand on the spinning thing inside, and let go of the stick and all the buttons for a while, he'll rub his arms like he's cold and then sneeze. How random.

Anyone have any clever tactics for a guy that just keeps getting sluaghtered by Dark Bahumut in FFX? I'm thinking just about the only way I'll take him down is just be levelling up more. x_x
I'd ignore him...but...I have to kill him to get Tidus' Crest, as I missed it the first time I went through there. >_<;;

Pain - Possible shrine? [18 Apr 2003|08:18pm]

Y'know, I've wanted for the longest time to make my own little shrine on the internet to a Final Fantasy character. For the simple reason that I absoloutly LOVE the Final Fantasy series and all its characters. But aside from that, I wanted to take on something challenging, and do a character that is little known to the general gamers. And then it hit me!

I'll do a shrine to Anima and the Baaj Temple fayth!

I really wanna do this and I'm already in the process of making plans on creating the website, I'm even setting up a subdomain on my server for it. But since there isn't much information on Anima & it's fayth, I was wondering if anybody thinks this is a good idea. I want to get an opinion from people who've played FFX and know who Anima is. I did the whole sidequest already to earn him and I dug up some information on Anima's origins and its connections with Seymour.

Anyway, tell me your opinions, please! Oh, and any information sources/images/etcetra would be greatly appreciated.

Celestial Weapons [18 Apr 2003|08:14pm]

[ mood | annoyed ]

Eh heh, newbie here. Anyway..

I'm in the middle of playing FFX. I've already got the airship and ready to fight Sin, and even though I know I can beat it (I got bored and went ahead and fought it, then restarted my game) but I refuse to go on until I've played all the sidequests. I've already got all of the hidden Aeons and I'm in the middle of collecting all the hidden weapons. And I was wondering about two things...

1) GAH! Where's Auron's weapon!?!? I have the Crest, Sigil, and the Celestial mirror. *dies*

2) I accidently opened the chest in the monster arena (which is where you can find Yuna's ultimate weapon, Nirvana) without the Sigil. And I know that it wasn't fully powered up, or something. I just got her Sigil yesterday when I got the last of the hidden aeons and defeated Belgemine. But I was wondering even if I had gotten the Sigil after acquiring the Nirvana, if it would still be powered up. Right now, the only ability on it is "No AP" and it isn't customizable. I think I might have made a boo-boo, because nothing has changed from when I first got it without the Sigil.

Auron's Story [26 Mar 2003|08:12pm]

[ mood | cheerful ]

Auron: This is my story, of how Ricky just made my stats go through the roof in a very short time. *laughs derisively* Some tale this shall be. *leans on his sword and stares cooly at Ricky*

Well, here it is:

How Auron Got 34 S-Levels In Just Ten Minutes

Well, there I was, randomly FFX'ing. I had just caught the last monster I needed to have one of every kind in the game. The monster capture guy gave me 99 Winning Formula items!

That got me thinking.

I looked at Auron's sword collection, and noticed something: I had Heaven's Cloud. This had "Break Damage Limit" and three blank slots.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I used:

20 Mega Elixirs to give it Double AP,
30 Winning Formulas (Formulae?) to give it Triple Overdrive,
10 Doors To tomorrow to give it Overdrive --> AP.

I got these items mostly by capturing monsters from around Spira, and then talking to the Monster Capture Arena guy. I then put Auron's "Warrior" overdrive mode on.

I already have a large amount of the sphere grid unlocked with Auron, he had around 140 strength. This meant that with break damage limit, he does around 60,000 to enemies in Omega Dungeon (sometimes 99,999).

After the battle, all the Triple Overdrive he was getting by doing that damage was made into AP, and then doubled! All thanks to that sword. He needs than 10000 AP to get one level, where I am, and he gets around 60K AP per battle.

Hence, 34 S-levels in 10 minutes. ^__^

Auron: I have to admit I am very, very hard now. I cast a mean Flare. >D

*coughs* Anyway. ^^; I get creative when I start writing. Sorry. ^^;; I've made similar weapons for Tidus and Yuna, too.

Final Fantasy IX ~ Auto Regen [15 Mar 2003|08:23pm]

The Auto Regen ability is extremely useful to maniacs like me who think taking on bosses hideously under levelled is a clever idea. ^^;
You should some across some items from which you can learn it in your travels. Teach it to everyone in your party! Although it costs 10ap to have it equiped, the benefits are huge. Not only do you get a steady income of free hp during the battle...but...well, first things first:

1) Teach Eiko or Dagger the "Boost" ability, learned from Pumice Piece (obtained by killing Ark in Oeilvert). This ensures that summon animations always play in full.
2) Go into battle, and summon Madeen, Bahumut or some other summon that takes a nice, long time. The Auto Regen will continue to function throughout that time, thereby giving your party...err...lots of hp!

Umm, that might all sound a bit obvious, but lots of people I mentioned it too thought it was cool. So I thought I'd post it. Yup. ^^;;

Final Fantasy IX ~ Blue Magic Combo [13 Mar 2003|08:42pm]

I came across a blue magic for Quina today, called "Limit Glove". Causes non elemental damage to one enemy, when Quina is on one hp.
So, I came up with an easy way to get him down to one hp! Get him to use Matra Magic on himself, and his HP should drop to 1! Then, you can use limit glove...a magic, that for 10mp, has never failed to do 9999 damage for me. With a level 20 Quina. Level gaining has never been so simple!

Welcome! [12 Mar 2003|08:28pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Hi there! I'm HicRic, your friendly neighbourhood idiot...person. Aaaanyway, check out the bio for this journal to see what it's all about!
What? You're too lazy to do that? Okay, I'll copy and paste it here for you. =P

Hi there! I'm HicRic. I have almost no life and very little mental capacity! However, I do enjoy games. Lots and lots of games. This community is dedicated to sharing any tips, tactics and so on for games that we have played! (I forsee this becoming hideously biased towards Final Fantasy...but...perhaps not, eh? XD)

I shall be filing entries into this community's "memories" under each game category, so you can easily find past tips for certain games.

I have no idea if this will actually be of use to anyone in the whole world. o_o But, hey! I guess it's worth a try. Everyone is welcome!

In the words of a certain very hard man with a red cloak, shades, and a nice big sword slung over his shoulder:

"It begins."
